Astrology is an ancient practice that’s still popular and relevant in today’s world. The movements and positions of the planets, sun, moon and stars are studied to give us an insight into their influence on human life and the natural world. Astrology is also used to give us guidance on our character traits and to give us indications about our future prospects Horoscopes are often produced by using astrology.

The Zodiac

The Zodiac is a band of constellations. These constellations are in the path of the sun, moon and planets. The constellations are divided into 12 equal parts and are called signs of the Zodiac. Each sign of the Zodiac indicates certain character traits of those born under that sign. The planet for each sign is an influencing factor in an individual’s character.

The Planets

The position of the planets in relation to the Earth is used to reveal a person’s character and as an indication of their future. Each sign of the Zodiac is ruled by one of the planets. Each planet has its own particular influencing characteristic/force. The planets are the greatest influencing factor in a person’s character, more than any other aspect in astrology when it comes to producing a Horoscope.

The Houses

The surface of the Earth is divided into 12 sections known as Houses. Each House represents aspects/characteristics of a person’s life. The Houses determine the way that the planets will affect a person’s everyday life.

The Elements

The Elements are Fire, Earth, Air and Water. Each Element has its own individual nature. Each sign of the Zodiac is linked to one of the Elements.
